Framework
How the TSDOH Works
The TSDOH treats technology as the sixth social determinant of health. It combines a 132-variable community profile built from public data with a 36-question resident survey, and scores six domains from 0 to 100.
Why a Sixth Determinant
Five domains shape health. None of them is technology.
Healthy People 2030 groups the social determinants of health into five domains: Economic Stability; Education Access and Quality; Health Care Access and Quality; Neighborhood and Built Environment; and Social and Community Context. Jobs, school, health care and benefits now run through a connection, so the TSDOH adds technology as a sixth.

Our Standards
Every number has a source.
- Every value in a report names its dataset, table and year.
- Survey results are reported with margins of error.
- Anything illustrative is labeled as illustrative.
- Our assessment practices follow the principles of the Code of Professional Ethics and Practices of the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR).
- Individual responses are anonymized and reported only in aggregate.
Where Validation Stands
We tell you exactly where we are.
The TSDOH was developed by Dr. Troy Nash. It has not yet been published in a peer-reviewed journal. A staged validation plan is written, and we will publish results as they come.
We describe our method in general terms. The variable list and definitions, survey wording, scoring and weighting rules, data sources and playbook libraries are proprietary to AGI Affinity and are shared only with clients.
