Qualifying Criteria

Who Qualifies for Sponsorship

To qualify for a sponsored assessment, your organization must meet all three of the following requirements:

Requirement One

Tax Status

  • 501(c)(3) Nonprofit
  • 501(c)(4) Social Welfare Organization
  • Faith-Based Organization
  • Public Housing Resident Council

Requirement Two

Budget / Community

  • Annual operating budget under $1 million
  • — OR —
  • Serve community with 50%+ below 80% AMI

Requirement Three

Mission Alignment

  • Low-to-moderate income families
  • Public housing residents
  • Rural communities
  • Seniors on fixed income
  • Immigrant/refugee communities
  • Youth in underserved schools
  • Formerly incarcerated individuals

Geographic Requirement

Must also meet at least ONE of the following:

HUD Qualified Census Tract
USDA Rural Development Eligible
Designated Opportunity Zone
Poverty Rate Above 20%
Broadband Access Below 70%
